Q) Why / how did you starting boxing?
My mother made me at age 12.
Q) What fighters did you look up to growing up?
I looked up to Sugar Ray Leonard, Thomas Hearns, and Marvin Haglar.
Q) What has been your most memorable fight?
When I fought Abel Perry. He was 97-1 and I was 5-1. As an amateur, it went to a decision.
Q) What do you want to accomplish in your boxing career?
I want to bring a title to the Bay Area.
Q) What is your favorite aspect of fighting at the Tank?
This will be my first fight at the Tank — I’ve always wanted to fight there.
Q) How do spend your time outside of the ring?
Preaching the Gospel and playing the piano
Q) What is one thing people don’t know about you?
I attended San Jose City College.
