July 8, 2009

Q) Why / how did you starting boxing?
I started boxing because my dad got me into it when I was little. It seemed more interesting to me than football or baseball.

Q) What fighters did you look up to growing up?
Arturo Gatti and Shayne Mosely.

Q) What has been your most memorable fight?
The first fight I ever had against Ruben Rivera.

Q) What do you want to accomplish in your boxing career?
I want to be the world champ! Any kind of title belt would be a big accomplishment.

Q) What is your favorite aspect of fighting at the Tank?
It’s a clean venue and it’s in my home town. The fans are usually always cheering.

Q) What do think about the state of boxing in the Bay Area?
I think it’s hanging on by a thread. I think more local fighters need to be promoted instead of MMA fighters.

Q) How do spend your time outside of the ring?
I spend a lot of time with my dogs at home. I usually just hang out at the gym and try to stay out of trouble.

Q) Do you have a message for your fans?
Show up for another great night!

Q) What is one thing people don’t know about you?
I’m a Gemini.
