Q) Where are you right now in your training and how are you feeling physically and emotionally?
This is the last week of training camp so were taken it a little easy now. I feel great both physically and emotionally.
Q) Do you have any messages for your fans?
Yes, were bringing boxing back to the Shark Tank!
Q) Where are you training?
In San Francisco at SFC BOXING GYM.
Q) What type of nutrition/diet do you follow when training for a fight?
Lots of protein. Good carbs. We try to stay away from foods that are high in fat.
Q) How familiar are you with your opponent?
All we know is that he’s undefeated as well.
Q) What will be your strategy for earning a victory/knockout against this opponent?
Exactly what we always do. Just feel him out the first minute and then go after him!
Q) What are your strengths as a fighter?
I would say my boxing ability, and the fact that I’ve got power in both hands.
Q) What do you think about the state of boxing in the Bay Area?
I think we need to promote it more. Once the fans actually here about the fight night at the Tank and come to watch, I’m sure they will be impressed by the performance of the Bay Area fighters.
Q) Do you think that the crowd will be behind you or your opponent?
Me! I have a good fan base out here in the Bay Area.
Q) What is your favorite aspect of fighting at the Tank?
The fans! I remember growing up and watching Ricardo Cortez fight at the Tank. He was such an exciting fighter.
Q) What has been your most memorable fight?
My last fight on March 6th.
Q) What goes through your mind the last hours before a fight?
I try to just think about our game plan, and what we have been working on at the gym.
Q) Why / how did you starting boxing?
I’ve always liked contact sports.
Q) What fighters did you look up to growing up?
Oscar De La Hoya, Fernando Vargas, and of course Prince Naseem Hamed.
Q) What do you want to accomplish in your boxing career?
Hopefully a world title. We have come too far and worked so hard to settle for anything less.
Q) How do spend your time outside of the ring?
Family, friends, and school.
Q) What is one thing people don’t know about you?
I’m very down to earth. And I don’t like hurting people in the ring. I always wish the best health for all my opponents!
